| Keetja Allard is a Canadian born photographer residing in New York City. Having assisted fashion photographers in the 80's for art school credit she decided to explore journalism and took the show on the road. Traveling extensively, especially Asia having set up base in Tokyo in the early to mid 90's. In Asia she focused on shooting musicians for magazines. Wanting to return to the fashion and commercial side of professional photography as well as the Western hemisphere she came to New York in 1997. In pursuit of fashion she organically combined her portrait background and created fashionable portrait editorials for clients such as: AMEX, Art World, British Vogue, Beaux Art, Composite, Doing Bird, Domino, Esquire, Invitation, NME, Nylon, Relax, Sleek, Snoozer, Poly Oxygen, and Tokyo Calendar, Universal, Virgin. Some of the willing and not so willing victims have been: Paul Auster, Beastie Boys, Peter Beard, Beck, Maria Cornejo, John Currin , Jeffrey Deitch, Richard Gluckman, Kyra Gracie, Deborah Harry, Korbokov’s, Zoe Kravitz, Chiaki Kuriyama, Denis Leary, Moby, Haruki Murakami, Petra Nemkova, Proenza Schouler, Ramellzzee, John Richardson, Rogan, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Dj Shadow, The White Stripes, Three as Four, Bill Viola. Currently she is shooting fashion advertising for .com websites and working on personal projects. |
